Enjoy this elegant Mother Lode hotel that was built in 1862 and has a timeless quality. This historic hotel is located on the main street of the historic Gold Rush and offers guests a continental breakfast, a brunch menu for Sundays, lunches on Saturdays and Sundays, and a full bar that is open from Thursday to Sunday. The hotel also has a barbecue pit for guests to cook their own food. They can take a stroll through the gardens of the hotel and watch the sunset or warm up to the fireplace on those cold nights. Ice machines are available for guests to use. There is free parking for guests and pets are welcome to board.
The St. George Hotel offers 3 styles of accommodations, the Historic Hotel, the Bungalows on National Street, and the Garden Cottage. Built in 1862, the Historic Hotel is like staying at Grandma's home with antiques, quilts and shared baths. The Bungalows on National Street were built in 1962 and remodeled in 1999 and are set back from the main Hotel on the grounds of the St. George. Overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden this single level building is a quiet retreat with modern amenities. Every room comes with a hair dryer, smoke detectors, and a daily newspaper. Most rooms come with a ceiling fan and an iron/ironing board.
