Location. The W Hotel Los Angeles Westwood is located in Los Angeles, Calif. Built in 1969 as a University of California Los Angeles dormitory, the hotel was converted to a hotel in the 1980s, and then renovated in 2000. This 16-story structure sits amid a residential block on a magnolia-lined street and is three blocks from the University of California Los Angeles campus.
