Location. Located east of Palm Springs, Calif., the Mediterranean style Miramonte Resort and Spa captures the essence of California with its setting on 11 acres of fragrant citrus trees, rose gardens and olive groves. The resort is located across the road from the public 36 hole Golf Resort at Indian Wells and is five miles from Palm Desert’s El Paseo shopping district. Less than two miles away, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden features 38 grass, clay and hard courts, plus a 16,000 seat stadium. Hotel Features. Dedicated to guests’ health and well being, The Well Spa offers two room cabanas, misting systems, basin sinks and mosaic tile showers. Treatments include restorative massage therapies, body wraps, facials and beauty services. An outdoor relaxation area contains a heated pool and soaking pool with cascading water that facilitates massage and yoga style stretches. The resort features three outdoor pools, including an oval, adults only pool. Three rental cabanas flank the family pool and are furnished with teak lounges, dining sets and compact refrigerators. Ristorante Brissago offers the delicate nuances of Mediterranean style cooking, with salad greens, herbs and citrus fruits plucked fresh from the resort’s gardens. The Miramonte Resort and Spa offers 215 smoke free guestrooms and suites in 12 two story buildings, the second floors of which are accessed by stairway. Rooms feature Santa Rosa Mountain views from private Venetian style terraces or patios. Accommodations provide 42 inch, flat screen televisions, Desert Dream beds with overstuffed comforters and CD/MP3 players. Bathrooms and dressing areas feature marble and wood vanities stocked with designer Italian toiletries. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. Expert Tip. The Well Spa, located at the resort, features the Pittura Festa Painting Party for adults and children. Colorful mud and clay earth paints are brushed onto the body, face and hair. Pigments in the paint offer therapeutic value. The paint is massaged into the skin and rinsed off in private, outdoor, open air showers. Disposable bathing suits are available.
